The countdown is on!  Vail Mountain opens in just one month.  Aside from the legendary 7 miles of skiing & riding on the front side, in the back bowls and Blue Sky Basin, there is plenty of new stuff to look forward to this season:

On mountain: Chair 5 has been upgraded to a high-speed quad, cutting the ride out of Sundown Bowl in half to six minutes.  More ski time than liftline wait time on a powder day is a great thing!  On the front side, make sure you ski "Lindsey's" renamed for Olympic Gold Medalist and 3-time Overall World Cup Champion Lindsey Vonn.  You'll be able to say you skied down one of the 2015 World Championship techinical courses.  At Eagle's Nest, additional lanes have been added to the tubing hill at Adventure Ridge which will also have a new enclosed lift.

In town: At the new Solaris development, check out Bol - a posh, state-of-the-art bowling alley with a gourmet menu and expansive bar area.  There's also Cinebistro - an upscale dine-in movie experience.  We've tried both and wholeheartedly give them our seal of approval. Solaris also features world-class shopping and an ice skating rink.  The Four Seasons will open this winter with its own spa and dining at its new restaurant Flame.  The Sebastian, formerly Vail Plaza Club, also opens new restaurants Block 16 and Frost Bar.
