“What is the difference between the Deluxe Two Bedroom and StandardTwo Bedroom condos?”  I can’t tell you the number of times we get asked this question during reservations calls.   Labels can be confusing if you don’t understand what they mean, so I am here to help clear up the confusion with the Deluxe 2 bedroom condos

Lodge at Lionshead is an LQA Platinum-rated property.  The Lodging Quality Assurance (LQA) program is a community-wide program that provides a standardized rating of Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze to hotel and condo units in the Vail Valley and Beaver Creek.  The majority of our condos are Platinum’s or very high Gold’s, hence the overall Platinum rating.

That said, we do have a handful (literally, five) of low Gold-rated Two Bedroom condos and call them our Standard Two Bedroom condos.  These condos have had partial renovations and some upgrades to furnishings, but without full renovations lack the “deluxe” status of the rest of our condos.  As Joy likes to say, they offer guests the “same great location and amenities without the high gold or platinum finishes”.  They also offer a lower price point!  We discount them 20-30% off of our deluxe condo rate depending on the season.

Need it simplified even more?  Standard Two Bedroom condos have moderate finishes and Deluxe Two Bedroom condos have deluxe finishes.  Everything else is exactly the same.  All two bedrooms – deluxe or standard - have similar square footage, full kitchens, living rooms with fireplaces, balconies with gas grills, two baths, free WiFi access, free parking, daily housekeeping and so on.

Make sense now?  I hope it does.  If you are price conscious, the Standard Two Bedroom is the way to go.  If you would rather splurge on your Vail vacation, then upgrade to the Deluxe Two Bedroom.  Any of our reservationists can discuss with you in more detail to help you make the best decision for your trip.  Just give us a call at 800-962-4399!
