Construction Criticism

Construction. There is always springtime construction in Vail. We are all used to it by now. They start the day after the mountain closes. It’s inevitable. What projects are they doing this summer? Where will there be slow downs, road closures, path closures, etc. Well, I was wondering the same thing. 18 more days, snow on the horizon, and people wondering up and down the streets of Vail with new gear in hand: It must be time for my second installment of “What’s New”! Snow is covering the Gore Range and the leaves are quickly disappearing from their branches here in the Rockies. That means the 2011/2012 ski season is right around the corner! Therefore, I feel the need to share some of the things that you will find new on Vail Mountain this season. Over the next few weeks, I will talk about everything new and different from last season, from new events to new lunch spots on the Mountain. Instead of covering everything in one entry, I will cover one topic at a time leading up to November 18th, letting the excitement build, one blog at a time.
