Photo courtesy of Vail Farmers' Market & Art ShowThe Vail Farmers’ Market & Art Show started this past Sunday, June 18th, and will take place every Sunday from 10am - 3:30pm for the next 16 weeks.  The Market is entering its 17th year in Vail Village on Meadow Drive, and has grown to over 135 vendor tents making it one of the largest in Colorado. You can find everything from farm fresh produce to artisan crafts to specialty foods, clothing, accessories and more.  We love going over to grab fresh Colorado Palisade peaches (even Georgia peach, Jen, thinks they are the best she’s ever tasted), and lunch.  With over 40 food vendors, your hardest decision will be narrowing down what you want to eat.  Should you have a fresh made-to-order salad, a lobster roll, sweet or savory crepe, paella, or BBQ?  Leslie highly recommends the fish tacos at the Agave tent, and is partial to a Batter Cupcake for dessert!

There is also entertainment each week including free Vail Jazz @ the Market performances at Solaris Terrace, and smaller duos/trios/quartets at The Secret Garden.  Parking for the Market is at the Vail Village Parking or Lionshead Parking, but if you’re staying at Lodge at Lionshead it’s a quick, easy walk.

The final market of the summer will be on October 1, 2017.  You still have plenty of time to come up and check it out!

Farm-to-Table Dinner Series

If you happen to be in town June 30, July 14 or August 4, check out this unique dinner series.  This year, the Vail Farmers' Market & Art Show is joining forces with Taste of Vail to provide Colorado wines and beer for each dinner.  Each beverage will perfectly complement the chef-crafted meal, which celebrates the best of Colorado cuisine with local ingredients.

The first Farm-to-Table Dinner takes place next Friday and has limited seating left.  Tickets for all dinners can be purchased online at www.vailfarmersmarket.com/farm-to-table.  On June 30th, join Executive Chef Riley Romanin from Hooked and Revolution Dining, along with Executive Chef Jake Burkhardt from Pendulum and Private Chef Chris Benson for this amazing dinner!  The tented dinners will be held rain or shine on East Meadow Drive, so please dress accordingly (warm jacket just in case) and bring your sense of outdoor culinary adventure!  Wine and beer is included in the ticket price.
