Did you know that we have a regular rodeo here in the Vail Valley during the summer?  Not many people do.  Every Thursday night starting at 6pm, the Beaver Creek Rodeo takes place at Chapel Square in Avon which is a short 10 miles from Vail.  Athlete events include Bare Back Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Barrel Racing and Bull Riding.  However, some of the best spectator events are the crowd-participation family events.  These include Burro Racing for parents, Calf Scramble Kids where kids try to get ribbons off of the calf's tails and Muttin Bustin' where the youngest tyke who holds onto his/ her sheep the longest wins!  You can make this a night complete with cocktails and mouth-watering BBQ available right at the rodeo.
